First Day, Arizona, Grand Canyon!!

What a day, whew! I forgot what heat feels like. We got out of the car at the Grand Canyon, Mather lookout and we all felt like we withered. It was my first time to the area and absolutely stunning. A bit of haze, but so beautiful! We saw an elk on the side if the road, and a deer right by the rim.
Today was our longest travel day (San Jacinto to Williams, Az to the Grand Canyon to Lake Powell, Az) and we have an early morning rafting trip, and to top it off, Arizona does not observe daylight savings time, so for half the year they are an hour off from CA and lost an hour. Ugh! We'll get it back in a couple days, but still!
